Last week I decided to take my first trip back home to my parent's house. Although it is only a 2 hour drive I feel like I have to mentally prepare myself for the long journey. (You never really know what traffic is going to be like going in and out of LA.)
The drive was nice and the visit was even better.
I went during my mom's last few days of summer vacation so she also had my 4 year old niece, Ashlyn, staying the night. It was so fun having a sleep over with her. The older she gets the more fun we have! She is such a doll.
We went to the movies, painted our nails, took a walk around a lake for FHE, did a little photo shoot, I even got to French braid her hair. It was almost like having a little sister! But even better!
This was at the end of the day. The braid looked even better when I first did it.

She loves taking showers at Grandma's house. She thought the shower cap was so funny.

(oh- & our trip was to Big Bear. It was beautiful up there! I try not to post too many details of location on the internet..)

So fun. Hey if I ever have a daughter you will have to teach me to do girl hair. Poor Ashlyn had lumpy ponytails and lop-sided braids when she was staying with us.
