Gettysburg, PA

After our stop at Hershey we headed over to Gettysburg. It was amazing to stand in a place where so many fought and died for the freedoms, liberty, and unity that we have today.

We toured most of it in the car and only got out a few places. One was at an extremely tall tower that my nephew Zach kept calling "the mountain". My sister-in-law Jen stayed in the car with Benjamin while he took his afternoon nap. Tom and I climbed "the mountain" with the boys. From the top you could see the whole battlefield. My tour guide Tom explained the whole scene to me. I am so lucky he knows so much about history; it makes these trips so much more fun.

After the lookout tower we headed up to "Little Round Top." Benjamin was still asleep with Jen in the car. Sorry you missed out on so much Jen. You are such a nice aunty!!!!

If you are ever going to PA make sure to stop here. It is worth your while.
