Colonial Williamsburg

The highlight of the trip was going to Colonial Williamsburg. It is such a cool place. They have all the workers dressed up in old colonial clothes. The whole town is set up like it was in the late 1700's. A lot of the buildings are the original structures, just restored a little bit. In each of the shops they have people that are actually doing the work that would have been done (i.e. the blacksmith, bookbinder, shoemaker, cabinet maker, seamstress, etc.) A lot of the time they were talking to the tourists and answering their questions so you didn't get to see them work. But they were all extremely knowledgeable.
Tom told me to pose like a Colonist. Any idea what that looks like? Me neither. So this is what you get.

This is a must see if you are an American and proud of the principles our country is founded on. We are hoping to do this trip again when our children are older and can understand what they are seeing and the importance of it all.
