6 Years Ago Today

I returned home from my mission 6 years ago today. I am amazed at how fast time goes by. While I was in Chile, Elder Holland was there. I remember when he came to speak to us he said that he has thought about his mission every single day since he came home. It may have just been a flower, a sent, a name, or a scripture. But something has reminded him of his mission every day. When I heard that, I thought he was exaggerating a little bit. Well it has been 6 years for me and you know what, not a day has passed without me thinking about my mission.

I loved being a missionary. It was so wonderful to have everyone know that I represented Jesus Christ, his teachings, and his church. I still represent those things, but without the name tag over my heart it is a little harder for people to see it.

I miss the people so much. I still keep in contact with some of the people. Most of them are from my last area Paillaco. It was the hardest area but the most rewarding. I love them so much.

We are so lucky as members of the Church of Jesus Christ to be able to have such life changing experiences of going on a mission. Heavenly Father really knows what he is doing when he sends out kids to do his work. There is no way this church would succeed and grow if it wasn't true.

Fun memories, Vi!

This'll date me, but I'm jealous that you had a digital camera on your mish. I'm too lazy to scan my pics in. It's been 10 years since I reported to the MTC! Yikes!
