6 Months

Sorry that this is starting to turn into the Benjamin Blog. But the grandparents live too far away and need frequent updates. And let's be honest, he is way cuter than Tom and I. My goal is to always make sure there is at least one picture of Tom and me so you don't have to click on "older posts" to see who the parents are. (a little pet peeve of mine)

So here it goes, as I said before, Benjamin turned 6 months this weekend. He had his check-up today

Stats

Weight - 19.6 lbs. 75-90%

Height - 28 in. 95%

Hair - Still mostly bald with spikies that stick straight up- can't tell what color it will be

Eyes - Turning greenish-brown

Smile- One tooth on his bottom left and working on the other bottom tooth

Here are some things that he can do now

• Roll from his back to his front- still can't get from his front to back yet
• While on his belly he can get up on his knees and rock
• Scoots backwards and can turn in a circle
• Eats rice cereal- as you can see from the last post
• Gives hugs and kisses- not on command yet just whenever he feels like it; who knows if that is really what he is doing but I like to think so
• Still doesn't sleep through the night- we will be working hard on this after we get back from vacation
• Can sit up all by himself - I still don't trust him to do this one alone yet
• Loves being thrown in the air
• He loves paper!!!! It is way more entertaining than any toy we have ever bought
• He loves playing with his feet- That's how I find him in the crib most of the time
• He gets very easily distracted while nursing- I have to be in his room in the dark for him to get a good feeding and even then sometimes he will only eat for 4-5 min. His doc says he is just efficient and judging from his weight I guess she is right
• He is quiet and serious most of the time- Tom and I can get him to laugh and smile but good luck if he doesn't know you well. He is getting a little nicer to strangers.
• He loves playing peek-a-boo, especially with children

That's about all I can think of for now. He is the light of our lives and brings joy into every room he enters.
