Yesterday was the last day of swimming lessons for the kids in my ward. We had such a great time this last month. Each of the kids progressed so much!!! I am so proud of them. They conquered fears of putting faces in the water, swimming in the deep end, and jumping into the pool.
They all learned freestyle, breast stroke, and the back stroke. The older kids learned side stroke, how to dive, and the dolphin kick. My star swimmer Mitchell has also started to learn the butterfly, flip turns, and starts. He also managed to make it through one of my grueling workouts called "Rambo's."
For our last day of class I had the older kids jump in fully dressed and swim across the pool.
They worked so hard! I can't wait to see how much they improve next year.
Thanks for letting me be your teacher!!!

Thanks again for teaching our kids how to swim and overcome their fears! They learned a lot and are having fun perfecting their skills in the pool. You will have to come by and see what miracles have happened with Derek!!
