I stole Katie's idea of doing "Flashback Friday ." I am going to be starting a big project of scanning in all of my old pictures so I have them digitally as well as the hard copy. Unfortunately I only have pictures from my mission, Hawaii, Utah, Europe, and some from my second year at Ricks at my house right now. I am going to have to get the rest from my parent's house next time I go. I think between what I have here at my house it should last for a little bit, you just wont get to see me as a little girl yet.
I think it is going to take a really long time to scan them all in and I am hoping to get it done before Benjamin comes. Wish me luck.
Today's flashback comes from my mission to Osorno, Chile (because those are the only ones I have scanned in at the moment.)I had this thing that started when I was in Hawaii. I loved taking pictures of me in or with cool looking trees. I don't know if it was the fact of having a reason to climbing it or because the tree was cool. I found out that it is possible to climb a tree in a skirt and still remain modest if you try hard enough. Most of the pictures were taken on P-day though.

Picking plums for my mamita.
Irma was never my companion but she was one of my closest friends. We still keep in contact!
I wish I had gotten a better picture of this tree. They were so awesome and I have only seen them in Chile. The bark has pokey thorn-like spines. I cut my hand while taking this picture just from that light touch I gave it. (This was my first and last time touching a tree like that)
The town centers always had the coolest trees!

Not a tree, but it was still really hard to get on in a skirt.

This one always reminded me of "Alice in Wonderland" where the queen makes them paint the roses in the tree. This tree actually did have flowers that looked like roses.

I almost fell getting into this one.

Wow I have a lot of pictures with trees. I almost forgot how beautiful it is in Southern Chile.I hope you enjoyed my first flashback. I don't think I will be putting this many pictures up usually. I was just amazed at how many I had of just the trees.

This is a good idea! I can't wait to see pictures from Hawaii. Do you have some on that palm tree at Sunset beach that is growing sideways? I have pictures on that tree, and some cool ones in WAikiki and all over now that I think about it. This is quite the fascination you have with tree climbing, and in skirts too!
Those pictures are awesome! What an great experience and memories to look back on!
Sometimes I really feel I messed out by not serving a mission...the experience of a lifetime! Chile is beautiful.
What a really cool thing! Not only do you get pictures of neat trees but you create great memories and then have something funny like this to show. I now want to start something like that. Maybe I will take pictures by pretty flowers...when I come up with something I will give you props. I might also have to start flash back friday, what a great idea!
Those are awesome pictures of the trees! My mom is a big tree person!
Ok, now I am jealous that I did not even know about your tree thing so that I could copy it! Those pictures are amazing! What great memories! Thanks for sharing those pictures! I didn't even know you were close with Irma - she is fantastic (she was my mamita)...somehow I have lost touch with her (I am not always great at keeping in touch even though people are always in my heart - like you!!). Great pictures!
