4th of July Parade

We had a great low-key 4th of July this year. We hung out as a family in the morning and then went to a nearby park to watch the parade. My parents came too. It was a very warm day but not too bad in the shade. The parade was only about 20 min long which was just about right for a 2 1/2 year old.

I asked Ben what his favorite part of the parade was and he said "the dog" There was someone sitting next to us with a really big sweet dog. Who would have guessed that was all I needed to do to please him.

After the parade we sat down at the park and enjoyed some shaved ice. The boys loved it. Sam's face was completely blue. Ben's was more purple from mixing the blue and the red.

What was I thinking putting my kid in a white shirt???!!!???
