A Quick Trip

Last week I had to get Sam's birth certificate and I just absolutely had to see my friend Emily's brand new little baby. So I loaded up the kids and off we went to Camarillo for the day. I am so sorry everyone else for not being able to see you. Next time I will give you all more notice and maybe we can meet at the park or something.

Isn't he so sweet. There is nothing like a newborn. We couldn't get him to sleep while I was doing the photoshoot but by the time I went home I did get a few sleepy shots. Those are always my favorite. Now I just have to figure out how to do a little editing so I can send her some pictures. I need a lot of practice!!! So if any of you out there in blogging land live close by and have a newborn I would love to come and do a session with you. I suck, so it is all free :0)It turned out that the day before I was supposed to leave both the boys got sick with coughs. Again! grrrrrr! Grammy Hansen volunteered to play with both the boys while I went over to see the newborn. We are so lucky to have her! While the boys were there she gave them something she calls a "Treasure Jar" It is a jar that is filled with all kinds of little trinkets to look at and play with. It can keep been busy and calm for at least 30 min. Which is pretty amazing for Ben. There is still room in the jar so we are going to have a great time finding other things to put in it. Thanks Grammy, we love it!!!!!

How was it taking pictures of a newborn? It's tough trying to get them to sleep, especially if you're trying to get good sleepy poses and naked shots. I've got a few newborn sessions coming up this summer and I'm so excited! They are sooo sweet. Let me know if you need any editing help! Or if you want to send me one of your images, I can take you step by step on how I edit and show you the before and after. Just let me know! I'd love to help. :o) Shooting in RAW is definitely the way to go!
