Pioneer Day

Last Saturday we celebrated Pioneer Day. Our stake did an excellent job putting it together. We had super delicious meat for dinner along with homemade rolls. I actually learned how to make rolls so I could bring some :0). There was other stuff as well on the menu but these were the important things. They also had a lot of great activities for the kids. They had crafts, a petting zoo, pony rides, games, live entertainment, the food tables were even decorated like covered wagons. Although very little of the activity had to do with the actual pioneers and all of the suffering they went through it is nice to set aside a day of the year to remember them. And to ponder how blessed we are today because of the sacrifices they made. I am so grateful for our heritage!
