Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July America!!!!



We had a great day!
It started with a breakfast at the church. Our activities committee decided to forgo the pancake breakfast this year and got Costco muffins instead. At first I was a little sad thinking it just wouldn't be the 4th of July with out pancakes, but to be honest it turned out fantastic. Tom bought the muffins and I cut them. The other ward made up fruit cups. It was nice and simple. No one seemed to mind that hours weren't spent on a breakfast. The things we think we have to do to make a great activity.

After breakfast we came home and all of us took a 2-3 hour nap. :0)

Then we headed to our friends house to watch fireworks. They live right across the freeway from where the city was shooting them off. It actually was a pretty good show. We were afraid about how Benjamin would handle the loud booms, but he did great.

We hope you had a great 4th of July and took some time to stop and think about how amazing this country is and how much men and women have had to sacrifice to make it what it is today.


I love the quote by Ronald Reagen that says "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men where free."
