Thankful Thursday

It has been a long time since I have done a Thankful Thursday.

I upload my pictures from my camera pretty much every week (sometimes more often then that) But I just upload them to a folder on my desktop called "Camera Dropoff" until I have time to blog them, then I move them to where they belong in my "My Pictures" folders. So since I take at least 100 pictures a week and only blog 1 every 2 weeks. I am really behind. This is not something I am thankful about.

I am thankful that I have a blog to journal all of the fun things I do with my kids and the craziness that is my life. I'm glad I take time to sit down and post even if it is totally sporatic. I'm hoping I get a little better with this and get a little better at passing my camera off to someone so I can be in more pictures. So there are 2 of my New Year's resolutions (stated a month too late, but I am okay with that.)So back to Thankful Thursday. I wanted to show you a picture I found in my camera dropoff taken in November. At the beginning of the month I made a Thankful tree and each day we would all write down something we were thankful for. Any visitors we had during the month also got to add something. It was a lot of fun and I now plan to make it a Thanksgiving tradition. (I got the idea from Pinterest)

It was so easy to make. I just went down the street after a big storm and collected all the branches off the sidewalk. I gathered them together with some Rafia. I wanted it in a vase but I was afraid the boys would knock it over. I then cut out little circles out of fall-colored scrapbook paper for the ornaments, punched a hole and tied some rafia through that. I had a whole bunch and had them all ready to go in a Ziploc bag with a marker in it sitting on the kitchen table so I would remember to do it each day.The kids could say anything they wanted and it would go up. Ben's first response was candy.
