Several months ago I started teaching Ben the Pledge of Allegiance. He was getting pretty good at it with a few little funny slip-ups. He would say "one dalmatian dog" instead of "One nation, under God."
Well, we stopped practicing and I haven't said anything about it for a few months. Then one day Ben came up to me saying,
"It's under God! It's under God!"
To which I quickly responded "huh?" He then led me to the couch and started looking under it. It turns out that he put some of his cars under the couch and he remembered the word "under" from the Pledge of Allegiance so naturally the word that comes after "under" would have to be "God."At any given time this is what it looks like under our couch.
Today's count
- 13 cars
- 2 people
- 5 marshmallows
- and a lens from a pair of sunglasses
