365 Week 5

Mon Pic #29 Benjamin with his balloon

Ben got this balloon from Home Depot Saturday when we bought a new grill. He loves it! Every time he sees it he yells out "bagoon!!!" It has now lasted over 2 weeks.

I used to make cards a lot but I have slowed down the last several months. One of my little kindergartners mailed me a letter letting me know he had learned a lot in 2nd grade and is doing well in school. I was so excited to get his letter!!! I know he is going to be so excited to get a card back. Wed. Pic #31 First Taste of Lemon

He only took about 2 bites but didn't give us the face we were hoping for. Are we mean parents or what?

Thurs. Pic # 32 Watching Signing Time

Benjamin loves Signing Time. Every morning after asking for his Daddy he asks to watch Signing Time. He calls it "TawaTa" and does the sign for "Sign" and "Time". He has learned so much from these videos!!!!

Fri. Pic #33 Water bottle for Ward Activity

Saturday was our big ward activity called Journey to the Temple. It started 9 weeks ago. Each family was challenged to walk 5 miles a week so that by this Saturday they would have walked 45 miles (the distance from the church to the LA Temple is 47 miles). Then at the activity we walked the last 2 miles together. We ended at the park where we had a picnic dinner and played games. The activity went well and wasn't nearly as stressful as the Halloween and Christmas parties. Maybe I'm getting the hang of this calling after all.

Home Depot had the firemen come with a few of their trucks. They let the kids pretend to drive them; they could put on their gear; they had games and an obstacle courses for them. Benjamin LOVED it. We stayed over an hour as he ran back and forth between the trucks.

I just relaxed after my crazy day on Saturday. I always need at least one day to get my life, house, and stress level back to normal.
